Winner of the Kamloops Independent Short Shorts Award!
Japneet Singh (Director) took home the top jurors prize and audience award for the three and a half minute video, at the short film portion of the Kamloops Film Festival on Sunday, March 5, 2017. It bested more than a dozen other competitors where local filmmakers showed off homemade films.

Planning the shoot + challenges!
We planned for over a month with discussions ranging from set locations to actual scenes. Since none of us were really ever available together at the same time, all filming had to be done within a day! The script for this video was continually being re-written till Mishika finalized it.We started filming at 7 a.m. all the way till 8 p.m. with altogether 6 locations and carried all required equipment such as a camera, batteries, clothes, and accessories along.
Thankfully, for all exterior shots, the weather was clear (we avoided a thundershower by a few minutes!) and the bus service was on its regular schedule which prevented transit delays. Japneet being the creative genius that he is worked tirelessly on the editing and pretty much used every clip he shot! There were no re-shoots. The editing itself took over 2 months... mainly due to us all working/studying and rarely having a common available time slot.
Having won the KISS award and getting a shout-out from Adnan Sami himself is an honor that inspires us to keep striving for perfection.
We are grateful to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Thompson Rivers University and 'The Art We Are' cafe.
